The page is divided into two primary sections:
1. Warehouse Actions
Used for general inventory management tasks:
Receive Inventory – Record incoming materials from purchase orders.
Transfer Inventory – Move inventory between warehouses or stock areas.
2. Work Order Actions
Used to manage materials associated with specific jobs:
Receive
Allocate

These actions help ensure materials are properly assigned, staged, and delivered for each work order.
Transferring Inventory
Inventory transfer in Floorzap moves a product's stock from one warehouse or location to another. It is useful when your business has more than one warehouse or location, for example when stock at one location is needed or was sold at another. You do transfers from the Inventory Transfer page.
To transfer a product to another warehouse or location:
Open the Inventory Transfer page from the left menu. It lists your products with their warehouse, purchase order (PO#), quantity and more. You can filter the list by Warehouse Type, Warehouse and Product.
On the product's row, click the Inventory Transfer button (the exchange-arrows icon). The Transfer History button (the history icon) on the same row opens the list of past transfers for that product.
Review the locked fields. The transfer form shows the product's Category, Manufacturer, Style, Color and Size/Description, along with the From Warehouse Type, From Warehouse, From Stock Area and From Stock Section. None of these can be changed on a transfer.
If the product is being shipped to the other location rather than driven over internally, enter the Shipping Cost. This field is optional.
Enter the Quantity to transfer. You can't enter zero, and you can't transfer more than the quantity available.
Choose the destination. Pick a To Warehouse Type (Warehouse or Location) and a To Warehouse. To Warehouse is required. If the destination is a warehouse with stock areas set up, also choose the To Stock Area and To Stock Section the product goes to.
Click Transfer. A Transfer Inventory prompt asks you to confirm. Click Yes to complete the transfer.
The prompt says the product will be recorded as new inventory and that you won't be able to revert the transfer.
After an inventory transfer, the product keeps the same purchase order, and its quantity shows in each warehouse.
You can also use an inventory transfer to move stock from one stock area and section to another within the same warehouse. A transfer is only blocked if the destination is identical to where the stock already is. The transfer history lists who transferred the product, the date, product name, stock keeping unit (SKU), style, From Warehouse, From Quantity, To Warehouse and Transfer Quantity. It does not show the stock area and section the product started from or went to.
To change a product's stock area without a transfer, find the product on the Product Stock page, open the inventory, click Edit, and change the stock area and section.
To transfer rolled goods, the transfer form shows a required Roll# field. Select the roll, and the Quantity fills in with everything left on that roll. To transfer only a cut, enter a smaller quantity, and only that amount transfers. The quantity is in the product's own unit (square feet or square yards), shown beside the Quantity field. For example, if a roll has 50 square yards left and you enter 20, only 20 square yards transfer.
