QUICK STEPS
Setting up a warehouse:
Go to Settings → Warehouses and click Add New.
Fill in the warehouse information.
Organize the warehouse into Areas (physical rows/zones) and Sections (bins/shelves within each area).
Set these up once, then use them when receiving material to record exactly where it lands.
Understanding PO allocation on a work order:
Each inventory product can have multiple purchase orders over time, but only one PO is active at a time — this is the one FloorZap pulls from when the product is added to a work order.
To change the active PO, click an inactive PO, use the pencil icon to toggle it to active, and save.
On the Product Stock page, view what's On Hand, Available, Allocated, Prepared, Picked Up, etc.
Click the link on allocated materials to see which work orders they're currently tied to.
If no POs are available for a product, it shows under Required and/or Shortage — signaling it's time to create a new purchase order.
TIPS: 💡 Set up warehouse areas and sections, and confirm your POs are set to active, before go-live — this prevents a lot of confusion on day one.
Remember: Only one PO per product can be active at a time — that's the one that drives allocation on work orders, so keep it current.
