Warehouse Actions: Received to Picked Up

QUICK STEPS

  1. Print the pick list via Work Order Actions → Pick List — this tells the warehouse team exactly what to pull: product, quantity, and location.

  2. Once material is pulled and staged (cut, bundled, ready to go), update the product status to Prepared — this signals to the team that the job's material is ready.

  3. Print the packing slip from Work Order Actions — documents exactly what's going out with the installer, for both your records and the crew.

  4. If grouping multiple jobs onto a single pallet, use Work Order Actions → Assign Skid to group work orders for warehouse tracking.

  5. When the installer picks up the material, update the status to Picked Up — this removes it from active warehouse inventory and signals the material is physically out the door.

  6. Use Skip to Pickup at any point to move material straight from its current status to Picked Up, skipping intermediate steps.

TIPS: 💡 Think of the handoff like a relay: Sales marks ready → Purchasing orders → Warehouse receives → Warehouse prepares → Installer picks up. Everyone has a clear lane.

Remember: Status updates (Prepared, Picked Up) aren't just bookkeeping — they're the signal that keeps the whole team in sync on where a job's material actually is.
