QUICK STEPS
Understanding the seven inventory statuses (Inventory Products → Product Stock):
On Hand — everything physically in your building.
Available — in your building, not yet reserved.
Allocated — reserved for a specific work order, still in the warehouse.
Prepared — cut, staged, and physically ready for the installer.
Picked Up — left the warehouse, en route to the job site.
Required — assigned to a job but no stock available yet; a purchase order is needed.
Shortage — you're short on material and need to reorder.
Entering starting inventory (first-time setup):
Open an inventory product and click the Inventory tab to view its purchase orders.
Click Add Existing Inventory.
Enter the quantity, select the warehouse, stock area/section, and company/work order cost.
Save.
Adjusting inventory quantities:
Click Add Adjustment (half-moon icon).
Choose a reduction or addition and enter the quantity.
Add a comment and save.
TIPS: 💡 Remember the formula: Available + Allocated + Prepared = On Hand. If your On Hand number looks off, start there.
Remember: The seven statuses tell you exactly where material is at any given moment — mastering this system is the key to understanding inventory in FloorZap.
