Building a Quote

QUICK STEPS

  1. Start a quote from the Quotes tab in the navigation menu, or directly from the customer/lead profile, and click Create New Quote.

  2. If a measurement already exists, select it — square footage and any related labor line items (like carpet take-up or furniture moving) pull in automatically.

  3. Choose the quote type (e.g., Material and Labor) and begin.

  4. Click the boxes icon to add material line items — unit cost and preset margin pull in automatically, and you can adjust total price or margin as needed.

  5. Click the wrench icon to add labor line items — adjust quantity, unit cost, and total price as needed.

  6. Save often while building the quote to avoid losing progress.

  7. Apply a global discount (percentage or dollar amount) if needed — this updates profit and subtotal in real time.

  8. Apply discounts to individual line items if needed, same effect on profit/subtotal.

  9. Once the quote looks good, send it to the customer for approval (covered in the next video).

TIPS💡 Save your quote often while building it — don't lose progress by accident.💡 Discounts (global or line-item) update your profit totals live, so you can see the impact before finalizing.

Remember: The quote is where pricing, margins, and profit come together — check your numbers before sending it to the customer.
