When Floorzap sends emails to your customers — quotes, invoices, reminders, and other notifications — those emails come from [email protected], not your personal or business email address.
Floorzap sends email through its own sending domain, which is set up with the email authentication records that receiving mail servers check to confirm a message is legitimate. Sending from a personal or unconfigured domain would likely cause your emails to be flagged as spam or rejected — which is why the from address is always [email protected].
How to Make Sure Customer Replies Reach the Right Person
Even though Floorzap emails go out from [email protected], you can control where customer replies are directed by configuring the Reply-To setting. Floorzap offers three options: route replies to the user who sent the email, to the location's email address, or to a custom address you specify.
Go to Settings → Common/Automation → Reply to Email Options.
Choose your preferred reply routing:
Reply to Sender — Customer replies go to the user who sent the email. "Sender" means the logged-in user sending the document — not the user who created it, and not the sales rep assigned to it.
Location — Customer replies go to the email address on file for the store location.
Custom — Customer replies go to a specific email address you enter.
Save your changes.
Set a Reply-To option before sending customer-facing emails from Floorzap. If the Reply-To setting isn't configured, customer replies may not reach anyone on your team.
IT and DNS Questions About Floorzap Email
This section answers common questions from IT teams about whether your company's domain needs any DNS (Domain Name System) records for Floorzap email delivery.
Do I need to set up DKIM or SPF records for Floorzap emails?
You don't need to set up DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) or SPF (Sender Policy Framework) records for standard Floorzap emails. Emails sent from Floorzap to your customers come from [email protected] and are authenticated through Floorzap's own domain, so no DNS records are needed on your company's domain for quotes, invoices, reminders, or other notifications.
Exception — Floorzap Email Marketing: If you use the Floorzap Email Marketing platform, you'll add a sending domain and DNS records so marketing emails go out from your own domain. This setup is separate from standard Floorzap notifications and only applies to Email Marketing. See Adding a Sending Domain.
