How Low Stock Notifications Work in Floorzap (Minimum Quantity)

When inventory falls below its minimum quantity, Floorzap notifies all users via the Bell icon. Here's how the notification works, what the color indicators mean, and how to restock efficiently.

When a product's on-hand quantity falls below its set minimum, Floorzap triggers a low stock notification in the Bell icon at the top of the screen. Here's what you need to know about how those notifications work and how to act on them.

How the Notification Works

  • The notification appears in the Bell icon for all users with access to the Floorzap account — it cannot be scoped to specific roles or individuals.

  • There is currently no toggle to turn off low stock notifications.

Known limitation: The ability to scope low stock notifications to specific roles is a recognized feature gap. If this is important to your workflow, contact Floorzap Support to log your interest.

Visual Indicators on the Product Stock Page

In addition to the bell notification, the Product Stock page uses color coding to surface inventory status at a glance:

  • Orange — Product is below its minimum quantity (low stock)

  • Pink — Product has a shortage (allocated quantity exceeds available stock)

How to Restock Low Items

To efficiently restock when multiple products are low:

  1. Go to Inventory → Product Stock.

  2. Use the filters to display all items below minimum quantity.

  3. Sort results by vendor to group items together.

  4. Create a separate Purchase Order for each vendor — Floorzap does not support a single PO across multiple vendors.

Tip: Sorting by vendor before creating POs saves time — you can batch all low-stock items from the same vendor into one order instead of creating individual POs per product.
