Sometimes you add a service type by mistake, or you stop using one you set up earlier. A service type that is already in use on a quote, invoice, or other record cannot be deleted, because deleting it would change those existing records. Instead, you can hide it so it no longer appears as an option.
Hiding a service type removes it from selection without affecting your history. Any quote or invoice that already uses the service type keeps it exactly as it was.
How to Hide a Service Type
Service types are hidden from the System Lists area in Settings. Follow these steps:
Go to Settings.
Click System Lists on the left-hand side.
Select Service Types from the list.
Find the service type you want to hide.
Click the eye icon (Hide) next to that service type.
The service type no longer appears as an option when building quotes or invoices. If you need it again, click the eye icon a second time to unhide it.
Other System Lists
