How This Integration Works
Measure Square (M2) and Floorzap each handle a distinct part of the quoting process — they do not replace each other.
Measure Square handles room measurements and calculates quantities. That's it.
Floorzap handles everything else: quote templates, product descriptions, pricing, work orders, invoicing, and customer records.
When you import a measurement from Measure Square into Floorzap, you are bringing over quantities only. You will still need to apply your Floorzap quote template, verify pricing, and complete the quote in Floorzap as normal.
Template limitation: Measure Square's API does not support importing a measurement directly into a Floorzap quote template. These are two separate steps — import the measurement first, then apply your template in Floorzap. This is expected behavior, not a bug.
Using MeasureMobile instead? MeasureMobile is a fully valid alternative to Measure Square. The Floorzap workflow is identical — export a PDF from MeasureMobile, attach it to the work order, and manually enter the quantities into Floorzap. No API connection is required.
Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to connect your Measure Square account, sync products, and import a measurement into Floorzap.
Connect your Measure Square Cloud account to obtain your API Key.
In Floorzap, go to Settings → Integration → Measure Square to enter the API credentials you obtained in the previous step. The Measure Square ID should be the email associated with your M2 account.
Enter any products into Measure Square that you would like to sync from the Floorzap Catalog. We recommend syncing a "general set" of products rather than your entire catalog.
Use the "path" field to keep your labor and product categories separated.
M2 No./SKU = FZ Product/Labor Name
M2 Trade = FZ Material/Labor Category
M2 Vendor SKU = FZ Material SKU/Labor ID#
You can also export/import products and services using the "Excel" button in the product/labor lists together with the Measure Square Import feature.
Once you have completed a project in Measure Square, create a "Worksheet":
Type: Proposal
Style: By Trade
Save and sync the Measure Square project to the cloud. You can now view and import any measurement into Floorzap through the "Measurements" window.
Sharing the Floor Plan with Your Installer
Once the job is ready for installation, you can attach the Measure Square PDF layout so your installer can view it directly in the Floorzap mobile app.
Export the floor plan PDF from Measure Square.
Open the work order in Floorzap and go to the Job Details → Contractor tab.
Upload the PDF there.
The installer will be able to see the floor plan layout when they open the job in the Floorzap mobile app.
