What is a Manually Tracked Account?

A Manually Tracked Account is an account that is not linked to automatically pull in transactions. Instead, it is manually added and is typically used for transactions that are either manually entered or imported via CSV import.

When should I use a Manually Tracked Account?

Use a Manually Tracked Account in scenarios where transactions cannot be imported automatically, such as:

  • The bank or credit card is unsupported and cannot be linked
  • You need to import transactions from a time period beyond what the financial institution shares with third parties
  • Business transactions were made through a personal account that should not be linked

How should I use a Manually Tracked Account?

If transactions can't be imported automatically, download your bank or credit card statement from your financial institution’s website. Then, use the CSV Import feature and select the appropriate Manually Tracked Account during the import process. Alternatively, this account can be used when manually entering transactions one-by-one.
