New Location Not Appearing in Dropdowns? Here's Why
If a location you just added in FloorZap isn't showing up in dropdown menus, the fix is simple: assign at least one employee to the location.
When you create a new location in Floorzap, it won't automatically appear in dropdown menus throughout the system — such as when adding a customer, creating an invoice, or scheduling a job. This is expected behavior. A location must have at least one employee assigned to it before it will appear as a selectable option in dropdowns.
Why This Happens
During the location creation process, Floorzap prompts you to add employees to the new location. If you select No at that prompt and skip the employee assignment step, the location is created but remains invisible in dropdown menus — because Floorzap only shows locations that are actively staffed.
How to Fix It
If your new location isn't showing up in dropdowns, follow these steps to assign an employee to it:

Go to Settings → Employees.

Find and click on an employee who should be associated with the new location.

In the employee record, find the Location field and add the new location to their location list.

Click Save.
Once at least one employee is saved to the location, it will appear as an option in dropdown menus throughout Floorzap — including when adding customers, creating invoices, and scheduling.
Tip: To avoid this issue in the future, always assign at least one employee to a location when prompted during the location creation process. You can add or remove employees from a location at any time in Settings → Employees.
Still Not Showing Up?
If you've assigned an employee to the location and it still isn't appearing in dropdowns, try refreshing your browser. If the issue persists, contact Floorzap Support with the name of the location and the employee you assigned it to.
