How do I add a contractor or sub contractor?

This article will guide you through the process of adding a contractor in a few simple steps.

 

Step 1: Navigate to settings and select contractor.

 

 

 

Step 2: Click on add new.

 

 

 

Step 3: Assign a location to the contractor.

 

 

 

Step 4: Fill in the contractor's company name, first name, last name, and email address.

 

 

Step 5: Choose the contractor's status. If you're adding a new contractor, mark them as active.

 

 

Step 6: Select the type of entity, either individual or business.

 

 

 

Step 7: Choose the contractor's specialty.

 

 

Step 8: Assign a schedule color to the contractor.

 

 

 

Step 9: Indicate if the contractor is an in-house contractor by checking the respective box.

 

 

 

 

Step 10: Select any skills that the contractor possesses.

 

 

 

 

 

Step 11: Fill in the contractor's address, as it's a required field.

 

 

Step 12: Record the dates and expiration dates of the contractor's insurance.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 13: Sync to QuickBooks if needed, but do this only after your QuickBooks integration call.

 

 

 

Step 14: Check the box to send a confirmation email and then hit save.

 

 

 

Note: If a contractor's insurance has expired, they'll be highlighted in light red. This feature helps you quickly identify contractors who are not in compliance.
