Can Contractors See Documents on Jobs?
Contractors can view documents and photos on jobs they're assigned to through the Floorzap contractor app. This article covers how to share a file with a contractor and what to check if they can't see it.
Before sharing documents, make sure the contractor is assigned to the job and set up for contractor app access. For setup help, see How to Set Up a Contractor for Mobile App Access.
How to Share a Document with a Contractor
To share a document or photo with a contractor assigned to a job, upload it on the Contractors tab of the job's attachments:
Navigate to the job's work order page.
Click the Job Details Attachments paperclip icon.
Select the Contractors tab.
Upload the document or photo.
Check the checkbox next to the file and give it a name.
Both steps are required. If the checkbox is unchecked or the name is blank, the file won't appear in the contractor app, even though it's attached to the job.
Why Can't a Contractor See a Document on a Job?
If a contractor can't see a document or photo on a job in the Floorzap contractor app, check the following:
It was uploaded somewhere else. Files attached to the invoice, or on any tab other than the Contractors tab, aren't visible to contractors. Re-upload the file on the Contractors tab of the Job Details Attachments (paperclip icon) on the work order page.
The checkbox isn't checked. The file isn't added to the contractor's view until it's checked.
The file has no name. Unnamed files don't appear in the contractor app.
The contractor isn't assigned to the job. Contractors only see files on jobs they're assigned to.
The contractor doesn't have app access. See How to Set Up a Contractor for Mobile App Access.
